Baldwin Park Training

August 28th, 2010 by admin

Title: Baldwin Park Training
Location: Morgan Park – 4100 Baldwin Park Blvd.
Description: With funding and additional support from the Heigl Foundation, Animal Advocates Alliance has implemented a free basic obedience and proper pet care program in support of the Baldwin Park Shelter. These one hour classes are offered twice a month. Residents are able to register at the Baldwin Park shelter. Upon completion of the one hour class each participant receives a complimentary pet care gift package. Each class covers topics such as integration of the pet into the family, positive reinforcement training, house breaking, and proper dog socialization. Instructors also provide education on topics such as importance of spaying and neutering (with recommendations and referrals to local no cost or low cost spay/neuter services), local laws applicable to pet ownership, availability of low cost veterinary care and the hard reality of relinquishment of a pet to a municipal shelter. If you are interested in volunteering to support the two classes to be held on Saturday, September 25, 2010 please email Stephanie at StephanieL@AnimalAdvocatesAlliance.org. This is an incredible experience and a wonderful volunteer opportunity.
