Adopt Now!

Animal Advocates Alliance regularly rescues animals from city and county shelters, as well as strays, and neglected and/or chained animals. AAA will typically select animals that are most “at risk” for euthanasia. This includes “red-listed” animals, who will be euthanized imminently if they are not rescued. Please consider adopting or fostering the following amazing animals and help save a life!

Bruce (aka Charlie/Batman) is a PERFECT Pittie!

February 20th, 2010

Bruce is truly a super Pittie. He was rescued from the South LA animal shelter and after spending 2 weeks at the vet to recover from an upper respiratory infection and have eye surgery he now has a clean bill of health and has finally moved into a temporary foster home. Bruce is simply perfect! He’s a one year old staffie, vaccinated, neutered, microchipped. Bruce loves all dogs big and small, gets along great with absolutely everyone. We also think that he’s fine with cats. Bruce is a medium energy level dog who will be terrific for any family. He would probably qualify to be a therapy dog after the proper training. If you are interested in adopting Bruce or fostering him on a longer term basis please email Lee at LeeG@AnimalAdvocatesAlliance.org. Bree is one Precious Little Terrier!

February 22nd, 2010

Hi, my name is Bree, a very pretty wire-haired terrier! I live with my foster mom and two boys, a Chihuahua and a 95-pound pit bull, and they both adore me as I’m a charming, sweet girl. I’m about a year old and have a great figure at 15-pounds. I sing duets with my Chihuahua boyfriend whenever the fire truck goes by, and personally I think we could get a record contract. I love to wrestle, chase and fetch toys with the boys, and sometimes I win! In my quiet time, I love to sit by the window, look out to the world, and ponder the mysteries of life. I also think about finding my forever mom and dad, and how we would love each other forever and ever. If you are interested in adopting me please contact Lee at LeeG@AnimalAdvocatesAlliance.org. Anyone interested in adopting me will also need to complete and submit the following: ONLINE APPLICATION

Milla the Majestic Found as a Stray

March 4th, 2010

Milla is a Staffordshire Terrier who was found as a stray in the Beverlywood area of Los Angeles on February 7, 2010. A member of the too often misunderstood, neglected, abused and victimized staffie/pit bull breed, Milla was so happy to have found a companion in her rescuer. Unfortunately Milla did not have a microchip and there were no signs of anyone looking for their lost pet. Milla did not have a collar or a tag and was found with a chain around her neck. She also appeared to have been wandering the streets for a while as she was found very skinny and tired. Milla is an extremely sweet little Staffie. She weighs approximately 50 lbs and is between 2 and 3 years old. She absolutely loves people and is completely fine with other dogs (big and small). She loves treats and is very gentle. She knows how to sit on command and listens attentively.  She’s currently in great need of a foster home (or even better a forever home). If you are interested in meeting Milla or can open your home to foster this sweet dog please email Phillip at PhillipG@AnimalAdvocatesAlliance.org.
