Adopt Now!

Animal Advocates Alliance regularly rescues animals from city and county shelters, as well as strays, and neglected and/or chained animals. AAA will typically select animals that are most “at risk” for euthanasia. This includes “red-listed” animals, who will be euthanized imminently if they are not rescued. Please consider adopting or fostering the following amazing animals and help save a life!

February 20th, 2010

River is a wonderful 7 year old Italian Greyhound Chihuahua mix who was rescued from the Baldwin Park Animal Shelter and is now available for adoption. He is extremely kind, loving, and gentle and has easily adapted into his foster home. He would be wonderful for a senior citizen looking for a companion or a family looking for a low maintenance dog. With low to medium energy, this sweet mellow guy just wants a place that he can call home. He does well with other dogs and cats and would fit in easily in almost any situation. Rusty is one Sweet and Friendly Fellow!

February 22nd, 2010

Hi there! My name is Rusty, a handsome 10-pound Chihuahua-terrier mix. My foster mom calls me, “The little man,” not as a knock on my size, but that I’m quite the man, you see. Though I live with a 95-pound pit bull brother (a real pussy-cat), I like to think of myself as the man of the house, the guardian, if you will. I like to hang out with my girl, a cute terrier, and belt out our favorite songs to the fire-truck siren, and if I say so myself, we sound pretty darn good. I am also the king of the backyard jungle! I lower my body to the ground, like a lion poised to strike, then pounce on my girlfriend and wrestle! Did I tell you I’m also clever? I go potty in the litter box 100% of the time, and do my foster mom proud! I do whatever she asks of me, as I am a very good boy. I mean, man. So if you want to adopt me, I promise to love and protect you forever. Oh, and I like to snuggle under the blanket with you.

Nora is a Sweet Girl in Need of a Home!

January 23rd, 2010

Nora-1

Hello, I am Nora. Although I am only between 1 and 2 years old, I’ve been through a lot. I’m not sure why, but my former owner tried to crop my ears himself. It was so painful, but being dumped at the shelter was even more painful. Some nice people saw what a sweetheart I am and decided to rescue me. I am currently in boarding, as I have not found a foster or permanent family to take care of me. I am such a gentle and good natured girl. I am also pretty petite at just 35 pounds or so. I promise to be loyal to you for the rest of my life if you just give me a chance!

If you are interested in meeting Nora please contact Lee at LeeG@animaladvocatesalliance.org or call 310.285.8422. You will also need to complete and submit the following: ONLINE APPLICATION

Alfie Needs Your Help!

January 23rd, 2010

Owner Surrender-1

Unfortunately Alfie’s owners are not able to keep him as they have been forced to move to a location where Alfie will not be allowed. The owners have fortunately decided to do the right thing for Alfie and try to find him a home instead of turning him in to the shelter. Alfie is a 4-5 year old (male) terrier mix. He is good with kids and very playful. He loves to chew on rubber toys. He is a very special dog and loved by anyone who meets him. He is cute and scruffy, gray in color and very alert. He has not been neutered but will be prior to transfer to a new owner. He recently had his vaccinations on 10/17/09. Please help the family by giving Alfie a foster or forever home. If you can help, please contact Phillip at PhillipG@AnimalAdvocatesAlliance.org or 310.285.8423.

Jasmine is so Deserving of a Loving Home!

January 23rd, 2010

Jasmine1 jasmine

Jasmine is a 11 month old female staffie mix. She was rescued by AAA from the Camarillo shelter where she was found by animal control abandoned and tied in a mobile home park. Her L4 Vertebrae was broken and she has spent the past 7 weeks in medical boarding. She is healed enough to be in a home with a companion that is sensitive to her injury and structures her play and exercise in a careful way. Funny thing is that Jasmine has no idea she was or is injured. She yearns to be with people and dogs. She is very energetic and loves to play play play, we tell her that she has a built in puppy-upper installed but granted she still is a puppy. She is very food motivated and responds well to positive reinforcement. She is in a 6 week training program that meets once a week. Any person interested in fostering or adopting Jasmine would be privy to these sessions. Jasmine weighs 45 pounds and is full grown and is spayed and up to date with her vaccinations and is micro-chipped.

If you are interested in meeting Jasmine please contact Stephanie at StephanieL@animaladvocatesalliance.org or call 310.285.8422. You will also need to complete and submit the following: ONLINE APPLICATION

Give Mochi a Chance and be Rewarded with Love!

January 13th, 2010

Mochi

Meet Mochi, a 2-yr-old, 45 lb. wigglebutt who practically convulses with joy when hanging out with her human companions!  Unfortunately for Mochi, she was the victim of a backyard ear cropping job and has strangely shaped ears to show for it.  She’s a resilient girl, however, and doesn’t hold a grudge against people – in fact, all she wants to do is spend time with humans.  Because she was never socialized properly, Mochi should be the only dog in her adoptive home.  Mochi is clean, quiet and obedient.  Mochi is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. Please give her a chance to finally have an owner that cares for her in the way she deserves!  If you are interested in meeting Mochi, please contact leeg@animaladvocatesalliance.org

Is Sweet Miss Emmy Lou Perfect for You?!

January 19th, 2010

Emmy Lou Emmy Lou2

We are pleased to introduce Miss Emmy Lou, a wonderful five year old beagle rescued from the Baldwin Park shelter. Little Emmy is quite the lover… all she wants to do is stare deep into your eyes and give you kisses. She is also a big fan of head rubs and belly scratches… so much so that if you stop, she will nudge your hand to ask for more! Also great with other dogs, Emmy is an all around mellow girl. Some might say she is perhaps a little too mellow as Emmy’s former owner allowed her to really pack on the pounds… this girl is definitely ready for “Biggest Loser: Beagle Edition.” All she really needs someone to love her and take the time to get her back in shape. Luckily, Emmy Lou LOVES to go for her walks. She is also pretty much potty-trained, but it may take her a while to adjust to a routine in a new home. Someone with some patience for training would be ideal.

If you are interested in meeting Emmy Lou please contact Kelly at kelbrett02@yahoo.com or call 310.285.8422. You will also need to complete and submit the following: ONLINE APPLICATION

Action Jackson Needs a Home Worthy of His Loyalty

December 6th, 2009

Jackson-5 Jackson1

Hi my name is Jackson (aka Bear) – I am a lab/mastiff mix and weigh about 70lbs currently. I don’t even know how long I spent walking the streets of LA searching for food and shelter but then one day a couple of weeks ago, as I was crossing a major street, these wonderful people from Animal Advocates Alliance offered me some delicious cat food and I realized the best thing for me would be to go with them. I excitedly jumped in their car and immediately took a nap. Since then I have been neutered and had all systems checked at the vet and I’m now ready for a good home that will take care of me and a family that will take me for nice walks. I just love people and love playing with other dogs. People tell me I have a huge head but I think my head looks bigger now since I’ve been hungry for so long, but you just wait. Everyone does a body shake when I wag my tail and I think it’s because my entire body wags when I wag my tail but what can I say I’m just happy now!

If you are interested in adopting Jackson, please contact Animal Advocates Alliance at info@animaladvocatesalliance.org or at 310.285.8422. You will also need to complete and submit the following online adoption application: ONLINE APPLICATION
