Dog Dragged To Death – Sign The Petition To Bring His Killer To Justice

January 29th, 2010 by C.J.

This one is going to make you sick. Someone tied a German Shepherd mix to their car and dragged him to his death in December at the Colorado National Monument.

“This was an incredible act of cruelty done to a defenseless animal,” Joan Anzelmo, superintendent of the monument, told The Denver Post. The Denver Post goes on to say, “Anzelmo said tracks left in the snow clearly show how the crime was committed: The dog initially walked, then ran and eventually was dragged when it couldn’t keep up with the vehicle. It was finally dumped after it died from the dragging.”

Facebook groups have been created like this one: Demand Justice For Buddy

Turns out that the dog’s name was Buddy and that a man named Steven Clay Romero has been charged with the crime and he’s pleading… INNOCENT, that’s right folks. He claims he didn’t do it and his sister has been lying to police in an attempt to help her brother get off for this horrible crime and sin against one of God’s creatures.

Take a good look. Here’s what scum looks like:

I know that sometimes people don’t like when I post pictures of animals who have been killed but it’s also important to see with our own eyes, the reality of animal cruelty, in the hopes that we might take action to prevent it in the future. Take action, sign a petition, donate your time or money to organizations like the Animal Advocates Alliance, report suspected cases of animal cruelty when you see them happen. When someone is cruel to Animals they are one step away from abusing people, it’s important that we stop them as soon as possible and bring them to justice when we can.

Here’s a picture of what Romero did to Buddy.

Thank you for rbringing awareness to the horrible way Buddy died. Only one purpose of the group was to call attention to the crime itself. Romero dragged Buddy to death for own entertainment. He is a psychopath and has no soul. No conscience. He has been in prison before in New Mexico. Romero is a very evil and very bad man.
The petition, with over 107,000 names, from 113 countries, over 5,300 pages of recycled paper, was presented to the US Attorney’s office in Grand Junction,Co.on Jan.27th.
The media and many Buddy supporters were present for the presentation and the arraignment. The trial will be March 22, in Denver. This is raising awareness across the world. We have a sister page “Tell ‘Em Buddy Sent You “, also on facebook, which was set up to Honor Buddy, to celebrate his life and create the legacy he deserves. This is a group who want to actively do something to help shelter and rescue animals in their own communities, and “tell ‘em Buddy sent them”.
It is for people who will volunteer an hour to walk some dogs, or play with cats. People who will drop off blankets or toys, food or $. As an administrator of Buddy,I felt an obligation to Honor him. Right now, and for the past week, in Dallas N.C., a rescue group called HelpSaveOne.Org has been taking every dog sentenced to die in the gas chambers at the Gaston Shelter, and saving them. In 7 days , 80 doga and 5 cats were “pulled” from the gas chamber and taken to a nice boarding facility in Charlotte, where vets will examine them, give them shots, spay/neuter/, and heal the ones who need extra help. All of these dogs and cats are available for adoption. Photo’s are at urgentdogs@helpsaveone.org . The $$ that is produced by Buddy fans is going to help to pay for this heroic rescue.
Buddy was a shelter dog. He would be very proud to see his legacy grow like this .
I know he would be honored to see so many other shelter dogs live on in his name.
