Pit Bulls Save Chihuahua from Near-Fatal Coyote Attack

August 9th, 2010 by admin

Four-year-old Buster was romping in his backyard in the suburban town of Littleton, CO when his owner Jodi heard him scream.  She ran outside to find a coyote running off with little Buster in his mouth.  While Jodi was in pursuit, a pair of pit bulls were on neighborhood watch and ran toward the coyote, on a mission to rescue the poor dog. Realizing he was outnumbered, the coyote released Buster and ran off.  “The pits followed my dog underneath a bush, guarding him,” Jodi recalls. “[They] lay next to him, licked him and protected him.”  Buster had surgery on August 2nd and is well on the road to recovery – thanks to two brave, caring pit bulls who rescued him from a coyote!
